Harvest on the Rhine River (Ruedesheim)
When flying to Europa I land in my home town Frankfurt, where all my family lives. The first trip we take with the family is a cruise on the Rhine River. The Rhine is 820 miles long and flows through six countries, and is the most important river in the hisory of Europa. We visit Ruedesheim, a small town clinging to the hills with many inviting gasthauses, which are known for their traditional cuisine and their great wines. This small town produces some of the finest German wines. This painting shows the richness and fullness of these wonderful grapes.
